Lazio are looking to pick up Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero after agreeing to sell Luis Maximiano to Almeria.
The 24-year-old Portuguese shot stopper is on the verge of leaving the Biancocelesti after just a year, ready to head to Almeria for around €9 million.
His debut season was a disaster following his sixth-minute red card in his first Lazio game, an incident that defined his time in Rome.
Ivan Provedel proved himself a top goalkeeper under Maurizio Sarri and will continue to be Lazio’s number one next season, but the club now need to pick up a replacement for Luis Maximiano.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio are in close contact with Sampdoria regarding Audero, but there is still distance between their proposals and the Blucerchiati’s demands.
After completing the sale of Luis Maximiano to Almeria, the Biancocelesti will look to accelerate for Audero, who has an estimated market value of around €6-8 million. His contract with Sampdoria expires in 2026.
Audero just signed a loan deal with Inter… They start to look really good. Few new attackers and they’re set to go.
