Lazio have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo De Paul but a deal seems unlikely.
The Biancocelesti are no longer working on a deal for Torino talent Samuele Ricci, so have started to explore other options to bolster their midfield this month.
One idea that’s started to gain steam is Juventus’ Nicolo Rovella and they’ve also emerged to compete with Leicester City for Cesare Casadei, but now a fresh name has been added to the list.
Il Tempo (via TMW) suggests that Lazio are dreaming of Atletico’s De Paul this month but it’s hard to imagine a deal being completed.
The 29-year-old is contracted to the Spanish club until June 2026 and he would not come cheap, having an estimated market value of around €40 million.
Whilst Lazio did sell Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal for €42 million last month, it seems unlikely that Claudio Lotito would be willing to invest so heavily into a single player.
Impossible if you know how deep Lotito’ pocket is.
