Lazio have decided to accelerate for Juventus midfielder Nicolo Rovella after failing to agree a deal for Torino’s Samuele Ricci.
The Biancocelesti had reportedly been working on a deal for the 21-year-old Italian midfielder, but Granata president Urbano Cairo recently claimed that no talks were ongoing. The Roman club have now decided to move away to focus on other targets.
There’s less than two weeks left until the start of the Serie A season and Maurizio Sarri is still pushing Lazio to pick up a new midfielder, so Claudio Lotito has started to act.
The 21-year-old Bianconeri talent initially looked set to stay in the Piedmont capital for the coming season, but the club have now decided to try and make some space in the midfield, opening up to his departure.
