Lloris Interested in Move to Lazio After Tottenham Exit

Lazio are interested in picking up for Hugo Lloris this month and the Tottenham goalkeeper is reportedly open to the move.

The 36-year-old French shot stopper has entered the last year of his contract with Spurs and is expected to leave the club this summer. They’ve already signed Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli to become the new number one.

Lazio are working to sell Luis Maximiano to Almeria and so need to find a new backup goalkeeper to give starting shot stopper Ivan Provedel some cover.

As reported by RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Lazio are keen to sign Lloris this summer and the Frenchman is interested in making the move to the Italian capital.

The 36-year-old will soon be released by Tottenham on a free transfer as a sign of respect, appreciating his long-term service in North London. Talks with the Biancocelesti are now ongoing.

Lloris’ entourage have also offered him to Real Madrid following the injury suffered by Thibaut Courtois, but other goalkeepers are being prioritised in the Spanish capital.
