Lazio have finally reached a total agreement to sell Luis Maximiano to Almeria this month.

The Biancocelesti have been in talks with the Spanish side in recent weeks, trying to find a new home for the 24-year-old Portuguese shot stopper, whose debut season in the Italian capital was a disaster following his sixth-minute red card in his first match against Bologna.

Lazio have been looking for a new backup goalkeeper for a while now and have identified a number of possible options, but first they must complete the sale of Luis Maximiano.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio and Almeria have now reached a total agreement regarding the transfer of Luis Maximiano, who could complete his move to the Spanish side in the coming days.

The deal is expected to be a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached, worth around €9 million.

Luis Maximiano saw 456 minutes of action across six games for Lazio during his year in the Italian capital.
