Lazio Move Forward for Ronnow After Luis Maximiano Sale

Lazio have decided to try and close out a move for Frederik Ronnow after agreeing to sell Luis Maximiano to Almeria.

The 24-year-old Portuguese shot stopper is set to leave the Italian capital after just a year, heading to the Spanish side on a loan deal with a €9 million permanence clause attached. He failed to bounce back after being shown a red card just six minutes into his Biancocelesti debut.

Lazio have been looking for a backup to Ivan Provedel for months now and have been linked with various players, including Emil Audero and recently Hugo Lloris.

As reported by Manuele Baiocchini and Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio are progressing talks with Union Berlin for Ronnow, who has already agreed personal terms with the Roman club.

The Biancocelesti have prepared a three-year contract for the 31-year-old and now they’re looking to learn the costs of a deal with Union. The player has one year left on his contract in Germany.

  1. That’s a decent back up well done Lotito, you have to get some credit now. Keep rein forcing the team, raise Felipe Andersons wage, sign Luis’ extention and finalise Rovella &Pelegrini and we are ready. If Bonucci can arrive would be amazing for the experience and backup/rotation for Casale and Romagnoli

  2. This Lazio might be the strongest squad(if things go by the plan) in the Lotito era, that’s why I mentioned credit where it’s due.

    1. Lol, certainly not. 10 years ago Lazio packed midfield with the likes of Hernanes, Mauri, Lulić, Ledesma or Candreva. Klose, Floccari and Kozák were in attack and Marchetti in goal.
