Lazio Closing in on Deal With Tottenham Veteran Lloris

Lazio have progressed in talks with Hugo Lloris and are now pushing to agree contract terms with the Tottenham veteran.

The Biancocelesti want a new backup to replace Luis Maximiano, who is heading to Almeria, and they’ve identified the 36-year-old Frenchman as a strong option, aware of his situation in North London.

Spurs have decided to move forward and signed Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario earlier this summer, making Lloris’ position clear at the club. They’ve already agreed to release him on a free transfer, a year ahead of his contract’s expiration.

As detailed by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio’s talks with Lloris have moved forward in recent days and the two parties are now in close contact, trying to agree a deal.

The club are thinking of setting up a two-year contract, allowing them to take advantage of the Growth Decree.

Things are progressing positively and a total agreement could be reached in the coming days, allowing the 2018 World Cup winner to join the squad for the start of the Serie A season.
