Lazio are looking to take advantage of recent events and have decided to try and pounce on Udinese talent Lazar Samardzic.
The 21-year-old German midfielder seemed set to complete a move to Inter after terms were agreed with the Friulian side – a €15 million deal with youngster Giovanni Fabbian going the other way.
Samardzic was only a step away from completing the transfer and underwent his medicals with the club, but things collapsed after his entourage began to push for higher fees and commissions, pushing Inter to focus on other targets instead.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Samardzic has now returned to Udinese and Lazio are keen to pick up the talented midfielder this summer, so have opened talks to start exploring a move.
The Biancocelesti’s current plan is to include Toma Basic in a possible deal, helping to lower the overall costs.
Juventus are also interested in Samardzic and Udinese may try to hold onto their talent after the collapse of the Inter deal.
Wow, this move would take the squad to a other level, make it happen Lotito!
