Lazio Hit Decisive Stage in Talks With Lloris

Lazio are deep in negotiations with Tottenham veteran Hugo Lloris and the next 24 hours could prove decisive either way.

The Biancocelesti started to explore a move for the 36-year-old Frenchman last week, aware that he’d be on the way out of North London this summer following the arrival of Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli.

Lloris has made it clear that he’d be open to the move to Lazio after a round of talks on Thursday this week and the two parties are now in constant contact.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, today could be the decisive day in negotiations between Lazio and Lloris, with the pair working to agree the terms of a two-year contract.

Some reports have suggested that Maurizio Sarri is not fully onboard with the deal, concerned about the pressure on current number one Ivan Provedel, who shined in his debut season in Rome.

Lazio are expected to make a final decision regarding Lloris in the coming days, wanting to pick up a new backup goalkeeper as soon as possible following Luis Maximiano’s sale to Almeria.
