Lazio are reportedly preparing to make an official offer to Leonardo Bonucci as they mull over a deal for the Juventus veteran.

The 36-year-old Italian centre back has been unceremoniously cut from Massimiliano Allegri’s squad in Turin and is being pushed out the door this summer, leaving his entourage to search far and wide for a new home.

Lazio have emerged as one of the two favourites for Bonucci’s signature alongside Union Berlin, who are seemingly the second-choice option as the 36-year-old looks to stay in Serie A.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio are still evaluating a move for Bonucci but are starting to grow increasingly convinced, so an official offer may be made this week.

On Saturday, there was a meeting in Formello with his entourage to try and start laying the foundations of a contract. Both parties left feeling positive and things are starting to heal up now.
