Lazio have reportedly reached a total agreement with Matteo Guendouzi and are now working to finalise a deal with Olympique Marseille.

The Biancocelesti have identified the 24-year-old Frenchman as their top option to strengthen the midfield in the closing stages of the summer transfer window and are now deep in negotiations with their Ligue 1 counterparts.

Marseille have started to lower their price tag on Guendouzi, initially wanting up to around €20 million for Guendouzi, who scored five goals and provided five assists in 43 games last season.

As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio have agreed personal terms with Guendouzi, willing to pay him around €2.3-2.5 million net per season plus add-ons.

The Frenchman is keen on the idea of playing in Serie A after his experiences in the Premier League and Ligue 1.

Marseille are willing to accept a fee of around €13-14 million for the 24-year-old midfielder and talks are ongoing as the Biancocelesti push to close out a deal.

  1. This is great news! Now we mist figure out who leave between Basic and Marcos Antonio because Guendouzi only covers one.

    Well done Fabiani!
