Lazio have officially submitted their offer to Olympique Marseille for midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.
Gianluca Di Marzio details how the Biancocelesti presented an offer of €13 million plus €5 million in add-ons for the 24-year-old Frenchman, close to the Ligue 1 side’s €18-20 million price tag.
Marseille would prefer the figures to be a €15 million fee with €3 million in add-ons instead, and the two clubs are in constant contact as they try to agree a deal.
Lazio are looking to pick up Guendouzi on a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached and are confident that a transfer can be completed before the end of the summer window.
The coming days will be decisive as the Biancocelesti push to reach an agreement with Marseille and updates are expected by Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
Guendouzi would be Lazio’s third midfield signing of the summer following Daichi Kamada and Nicolo Rovella, working to fill the void left behind by Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s sale.
