Lazio Agree Deal with Marseille for Guendouzi

Lazio have reportedly reached an agreement with Olympique Marseille for midfielder Matteo Guendouzi and are only a step away from completing a deal.

The Biancocelesti have been negotiating with the Ligue 1 side for around a week now, keen to snap up the 24-year-old Frenchman before the summer transfer window draws to a close next week.

Lazio’s first offer, which was rejected by Marseille, was around €13.5 million plus add-ons. The French side asked for the fixed amount to be €15 million, leading to further negotiations.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Marseille have accepted Lazio’s latest offer for Guendouzi, which featured the same figures as their first but with easier to achieve add-ons.

The Biancocelesti are now working on agreeing personal terms with the 24-year-old midfielder, who is seemingly keen on the idea of working with Maurizio Sarri in the Italian capital.

Once a contract has been agreed, Guendouzi will fly to Rome to carry out his medicals with Lazio, which could occur in the coming days.
