Lazio have contacted Leonardo Bonucci again to start exploring a last-minute move for the Juventus veteran.
The Biancocelesti have been linked with the 36-year-old Italian centre back for a number of weeks now but haven’t made a concrete move yet as they’ve focused on other business, like the arrival of Olympique Marseille midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.
Lazio are now ready to welcome Guendouzi and have decided to make another move before the end of the summer transfer window later this week.
As detailed by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio have reopened their talks with Bonucci to start working on a possible last-minute deal for the 36-year-old.
Juventus have made it clear that he won’t be reincluded in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad and he is now expected to leave Turin in the coming days.
Genoa are still interested in making a move for Bonucci and could come forward should the Biancocelesti fail to secure the defender’s signature.
