Lazio have exchanged documents with Olympique Marseille for Matteo Guendouzi, who is ready to complete his move to the Italian capital.

After multiple rounds of talks, the Biancocelesti have agree to sign the 24-year-old Frenchman on a €1 million loan deal with a €12 million obligation to buy clause attached, which also includes a further €5 million in add-ons. Marseille will also hold a 10% future resale clause.

Guendouzi has already agreed personal terms with Lazio, willing to sign a five-year contract worth around €2.5 million net per season plus add-ons.

Fabrizio Romano highlights how Guendouzi will travel to the Italian capital today before undergoing his medicals at the Paideia clinic in Rome on Wednesday. Once these have been completed, he’ll sign his five-year contract with Lazio.

The 24-year-old Frenchman is a much-anticipated addition to Maurizio Sarri’s squad in Rome, adding a dynamic and hard-working option to the midfield. He’ll become the club’s third midfield reinforcement following Daichi Kamada and Nicolo Rovella.
