Matteo Guendouzi will travel to Rome today to complete his move to Lazio after receiving the final green light from Olympique Marseille.
The Biancocelesti have agreed to sign the 24-year-old French midfielder on a €1 million loan deal with a €12 million obligation to buy clause attached, which includes a 10% future resale clause and €5 million in add-ons.
Lazio will hand Guendouzi a five-year deal worth circa €2.5 million net per season plus add-ons. Issues relating to his agent commissions have now been resolved, removing the final obstacle.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Guendouzi will fly to the Italian capital today, ready to carry out his medicals with Lazio before putting pen to paper on his deal.
In Maurizio Sarri’s three-man Lazio midfield, the 24-year-old Frenchman would be able to play as either a mediano or a mezzala, making him a tactically flexible option. He could even fill in for Danilo Cataldi as a defensive midfielder if needed.
