Lazio have been drawn into Group E of the Champions League, where they’ll face Atletico Madrid, Feyenoord and Celtic.
The Biancocelesti finished second in the Serie A table last season, bringing them back to Europe’s premier club competition after a two-year absence.
Maurizio Sarri’s side picked up a number of reinforcements this summer to bolster the squad, signing players like Daichi Kamada, Valentin Castellanos, Matteo Guendouzi and Nicolo Rovella.
Joining Lazio in the Champions League are Napoli, Inter and Milan. Roma and Atalanta are in the Europa League, whilst Fiorentina will compete in the Conference League following Juventus’ agreement to miss out following their financial concerns.
The Champions League final will kick off on June 1, 2024 at Wembley Stadium in London. This edition of the competition is the final one that’ll see third-placed teams in the group stage drop down to the Europa League, as the format will change from next season onwards.
