Lazio Confirm 25-Man Squad for Champions League

Lazio have officially confirmed their 25-man squad for this season’s Champions League, excluding two first-team players.

The Biancocelesti booked their spot in the Champions League with their unexpected second-place finish in Serie A last season, taking them back to Europe’s premier club competition after a two-year absence.

Lazio have been drawn into Group E alongside Feyenoord, Celtic and Atletico Madrid, giving them a strong chance of reaching the Round of 16.

As confirmed via La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio have announced their 25-man squad for the Champions League, excluding new signing Christos Mandas and unneeded midfielder Toma Basic.

The Biancocelesti’s first outing in the competition is scheduled for 19th September, when they’ll host Atletico Madrid, a match that’ll likely set the tone for their group stage campaign this season.

The last time Lazio progressed to the knockout stages of the Champions League came in the 2020-21 season, when they finished second in their group before losing to Bayern Munich in the Round of 16.
