Lazio Undesirable Fares Agrees to Brescia Move

Mohamed Fares has agreed to leave Lazio on loan to Brescia after an agreement was reached between the two clubs.

Although the Italian transfer window officially closed last week, two Serie B teams were given a one-week extension – Brescia and Lecco. The reason is because of their readmission to the second tier following a complicated legal battle.

Fares spent last season with Lazio but did not make a single appearance, having initially missed the first half of the campaign through a cruciate ligament rupture. His last official outing came on 9th January 2022 against Spezia.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Lazio have agreed a loan deal with Brescia for Fares, who has now given the green light to the move. The Serie B side will pay €200,000 of his €1.3 million net per season wages.

The 27-year-old Algerian will travel to the Lombardy city later today before undergoing his medicals and putting pen to paper on his contract.
