Felipe Anderson Rejected Saudi Move & Waits for New Lazio Deal

Felipe Anderson reportedly turned down an approach from Saudi side Al-Shabab and is now waiting for a new contract with Lazio.

The Brazilian winger has proven himself to be a crucial part of the Biancocelesti squad since his return from West Ham in the summer of 2021, helping add a key threat to Maurizio Sarri’s attack.

Last season, Felipe Anderson scored 12 goals and provided nine assists across 50 total appearances, seemingly justifying a new deal in the Italian capital.

As reported by Tuttosport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Felipe Anderson turned down an offer from Al-Shabab in the summer, not interested in making the jump to Saudi Arabia.

The 30-year-old is happy in the Italian capital and wants to be given a new deal, considering that his current contract expires at the end of the season.

Felipe Anderson wants to extend with Lazio until 2027 with a salary bump to around €3 million net per season plus add-ons. Claudio Lotito is expected to accelerate soon.

  1. 100% deserved, and just look at both his assists against Napoli. It is something Lotito should not wait long with and Fabiani should press him to hasten the talks (we on international break anyway).

  2. And bear in mind Casale will be right to call for a raise anytime soon, both him and Romagnoli could form Italys backpair so imagine the wage he is on reflecting that a bit more … the incoming transfer market ended , we’re on international break so yeah, the perfect time to clause the little issues that can grow into dilemmas ie Luis Alberto…

  3. … Strakosha, De Vrij, Sergejs sort of forced sell in the end and the list goes on… so yes we had a great market but we need to keep it up in the future and tie down what must be done. 3 posts for the algorithm lol
