Lazio Concerned About Pedro Ankle Injury

Lazio veteran Pedro has been dealing with a niggling ankle issue for weeks now and the club are starting to grow concerned.

The 36-year-old Spanish winger, who recently penned a new one-year deal with the Biancocelesti, has only made two brief substitute appearances in the early stages of the new season, coming off the bench against Lecce and Napoli.

Pedro was a regular feature for Lazio last season, seeing over 2400 minutes of action across 46 total appearances. In that time, he scored seven goals and provided six assists.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Pedro has been managing a frustrating ankle injury for weeks now, explaining why Lazio tried to make late moves for Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood and Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb as they looked for cover.

The club will keep a close eye on the Spanish veteran in the coming months, hoping to see him reach fitness soon, but should things stay the same then a reinforcement could be picked up in the January transfer window.
