Immobile Sets Sights on Lazio Champions League Record

Ciro Immobile wants to get back to scoring ways and is hoping to get his hands on a Lazio record in the Champions League.

The 33-year-old Italian striker has not looked his usual self in the early stages of the new season, managing just one goal in his first four outings. He did find the back of the net whilst on international duty with Italy, helping to maintain some confidence.

Lazio are ready to start their Champions League campaign with an opener against Atletico Madrid, giving Immobile the chance to bounce back on the European stage, a key competition for the club this year.

As highlighted by LazioNews24, Immobile has scored five goals in five appearances for Lazio in the Champions League, putting him in tied third alongside Sinisa Mihajlovic in the all-time club rankings.

Above the Lazio captain is Claudio Lopez with six and Simone Inzaghi with 15, giving him a tall mark to match.
