Ivan Provedel has proven himself to be one of the best players in the Lazio squad and the club want to reward him with a significant raise.
The 29-year-old Italian goalkeeper joined the club from Spezia for just €2.3 million last year, expected to be the second-choice option, but he instantly stood out and proved his qualities between the sticks, keeping 21 clean sheets in his debut Serie A season with the club.
Provedel was again the hero in Lazio’s Champions League opener against Atletico Madrid, scoring a sensational equaliser in the closing stages of the match, further raising his profile in the Italian capital.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio want to reward Provedel with a new long-term contract, planning to double his current €1.2 million net wages.
His current deal expires in June 2027 and will likely be extended by a further year, locking down a key cog in Maurizio Sarri’s system.
