Lotito Orders Lazio Training Camp After Poor Start

Lazio president Claudio Lotito was furious after the team’s draw with Monza and has ordered the squad into a training retreat.

The Biancocelesti have experienced their worst start in over two decades in Serie A, managing just four points in their opening five matches, with the solitary win being an unexpected 2-1 victory away to a wobbling Napoli.

Pressure is quickly starting to mount on Lazio and patience is wearing thin amongst supporters, who loudly booed and jeered the players after the full-time whistle in the draw to Monza.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lotito has decided to act after Lazio’s poor start, having a frustrated meeting with coach Maurizio Sarri, where he implored him to start using Valentin Castellanos.

The Lazio president also shared his anger with the squad and ordered them into a mandatory training retreat ahead of the clash with Torino on Wednesday. He wants to see results turn around fast, before the top four race starts to take shape.
