Milan vs Lazio: Recent History
Despite the relative noise surrounding them, Milan have started the 2023-24 season in a strong fashion, winning five of their six games in Serie A. Their only loss was a painful one, however, falling to rivals Inter 5-1 in the Derby della Madonnina.
The Rossoneri also struggled to show their best in their Champions League opener against Newcastle United, only picking up a point after a 0-0 draw at home.
On the other side of the table is Lazio, who have looked far more inconsistent in the early stages of this campaign. Maurizio Sarri’s side have picked up seven points from their first six league games, beating Napoli and Torino but losing to Lecce, Genoa and Juventus.
In their first European outing of the campaign, the Biancocelesti managed to secure a point in a tense 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid, which ended with a sensational Ivan Provedel equaliser.
Milan vs Lazio: Team News
Milan are without Pierre Kalulu, Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic, all of whom are out injured. Davide Calabria is also in doubt due to physical issues.
Lazio’s only concern is defender Alessio Romagnoli, who suffered a broken nose recently. He could appear in the match with a facemask.
