Referee Massa to Officiate Milan vs Lazio

Referee Davide Massa has been assigned to officiate the upcoming Serie A clash between Milan and Lazio.

The Biancocelesti restored some faith after their poor start with a good 2-0 win over Torino, a match Maurizio Sarri will hope give the players some momentum heading into their difficult clash away to Milan.

The Rossoneri have started the season well, winning five of their six league outings, and they’re tied on points with league leaders Inter, giving them an extra charge ahead of the Biancocelesti’s visit.

Below is the full officiating team for Milan vs Lazio:

  • Referee: Davide Massa
  • Assistant referees: Valerio Vecchi and Giuseppe Perrotti
  • Fourth official: Davide Ghersini
  • VAR: Paolo Mazzoleni
  • Assistant VAR: Eugenio Abbattista

The 42-year-old Massa has overseen 24 Lazio matches in the past – 11 wins, five draws and eight losses. In that time, he’s given the team 57 yellow cards, five red cards and nine penalties.

The last Lazio match that the Italian referee officiated was back in March, when the Biancocelesti secured a 1-0 victory over rivals Roma in the Derby della Capitale.
