Lithuanian referee Donatus Rumsas will officiate the upcoming Champions League clash between Celtic and Lazio.

The Biancocelesti secured a point in their European opener against Atletico Madrid last month in sensational fashion, with goalkeeper Ivan Provedel netting a last-minute header to tie things up at the Stadio Olimpico, salvaging the evening for Maurizio Sarri’s side.

Lazio have not been in their best shape this season and are coming off a 2-0 loss to Milan, so will need to show a strong response in Scotland if they want to turn things around quickly.

As announced by UEFA today (via LazioNews24), referee Rumsas will lead the officiating team for Lazio’s Champions League clash with Celtic.

His compatriots Aleksandr Radius and Dovydas Suziedelis will assist him, and Robertas Valikonis will be the fourth official. The VAR team will be Spanish official Juan Martínez Munuera and Israeli referee Roi Reinshreiber.

Lazio last faced Celtic in the Europa League group stages in the 2019-20 season, where they lost both matches 2-1.
