Referee Orsato Assigned to Officiate Lazio vs Atalanta

Veteran referee Daniele Orsato will lead the officiating team in the upcoming Serie A clash between Lazio and Atalanta.

The Biancocelesti’s poor start to the season – two wins, one draw and four losses – leaves them 16th in the Serie A table after seven games, pilling the pressure on Maurizio Sarri and his players to start turning things around fast.

Lazio are gearing up for their Champions League clash against Celtic, a key match following their draw with Atletico Madrid in the opener, but also have one eye on their next outing in the league.

Below is the officiating team for Lazio vs Atalanta (via LazioNews24):

  • Referee: Daniele Orsato
  • Assistant referees: Marco Scatragli and Andrea Zingarelli
  • Fourth official: Paride Tremolada
  • VAR: Antonio Di Martino
  • Assistant VAR: Rosario Abisso

The 47-year-old Orsato has overseen 47 Lazio matches in the past – 20 wins, 15 draws and 12 losses. Across those games, he’s given the club 137 yellow cards, four second yellow cards, one straight red card and five penalties.

His last time overseeing a Lazio match came back in February of this year, when Sarri’s side suffered a 2-0 loss at home to Atalanta.
