Lazio president Claudio Lotito is confident that Felipe Anderson will soon pen a new contract with the club.
The 30-year-old Brazilian winger has entered the last year of his deal in the Italian capital and talks regarding a new contract have been ongoing for a little while now.
Recent report suggested that Felipe Anderson has requested a salary of around €3 million net per season in his new deal, around €500,000 higher than the club’s highest offer so far.
Making a brief comment to Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lotito reiterated Lazio’s desire to retain Felipe Anderson.
I have no intention of sending him out and losing him again. For me he is another son.
The 30-year-old has proven himself a key figure in Maurizio Sarri’s squad since returning from West Ham in the summer of 2021.
Last season, Felipe Anderson scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 50 appearances across all competitions, playing a crucial role in the team’s impressive second-place finish in Serie A. He’s already directly contributed to five goals so far this term.
