Sarri Fires Up Lazio Squad After Baffling Loss to Feyenoord

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri tried to fire up his squad after the loss to Feyenoord, wanting to quickly turn things around.

The Biancocelesti looked far too poor in their third Champions League outing of the season in Rotterdam, allowing the hosts to cruise to a comfortable 3-1 win over goals from Santiago Gimenez and Ramiz Zerrouki.

Lazio cannot afford to lick their wounds, however, as they need to continue climbing up the league table after the disappointing start to the campaign. The team currently sit ninth on 13 points, four behind fourth place Napoli.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Sarri didn’t lecture the Lazio squad in their training session after the Feyenoord loss, instead trying to motivate them ahead of the next game against Fiorentina.

The coach asked his players to believe in the victory and take more risks, unhappy with the attitude seen on the pitch at De Kuip.
