Nicolo Casale suffered a muscle injury in a Lazio training session and could be sidelined for a number of weeks.
The 25-year-old Italian centre back has grown into a core part of Maurizio Sarri’s squad in the Italian capital since his arrival from Hellas Verona last year, but in recent weeks his form has dipped after being falsely accused of illegal gambling during the recent Serie A betting scandal.
Lazio have a few weeks ahead, playing four matches before the start of the November international break – Fiorentina on 30th October, Bologna on 3rd November, Feyenoord on the 7th and Roma on the 12th.
As highlighted by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Casale suffered a low/medium degree injury to the adductor of his right thigh in a Lazio training session yesterday, an injury that could keep him sidelined until after the November international break.
The Italian centre back has already started his recovery programme and will undergo a new round of tests in the coming days to reexamine his issue.
