Lazio vs Fiorentina: Recent History
Lazio have started to recover domestically after their slow start to the season, picking up back-to-back wins over Atalanta and Sassuolo in their last two outings. The team now sit ninth in the table, four points behind fourth place Napoli.
Whilst things started better in the Champions League, the mid-week defeat to Feyenoord saw Maurizio Sarri’s side come crashing down to earth, putting the pressure on them to turn things around in the return games.
Fiorentina have started the season well and have quickly gotten involved in the race for European qualification. Their last league match was a miserable 2-0 loss to local rivals Empoli, but they bounced back with a relaxed 6-0 thrashing of Cukaricki in the Conference League.
When these two teams met last season, Lazio secured a 4-0 win away but were held to a 1-1 draw at home.
Team News & Expected Starting Lineups
Lazio’s only absence is defender Nicolo Casale, who suffered an adductor issue in training this week. The defender could be ruled out of action for around a month, expected to return after the November international break.
Fiorentina are without Dodo, Michael Kayode and Gaetano Castrovilli, all of whom are sidelined with injuries.
Lazio (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari, Patric, Romagnoli, Marusic; Guendouzi, Rovella, Luis Alberto; Felipe Anderson, Castellanos, Zaccagni.
Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Terracciano; Biraghi, Milenkovic, Martinez Quarta, Parisi; Arthur, Duncan; Nico Gonzalez, Bonaventura, Ikone; Beltran.
