Gustav Isaksen has hardly featured for Lazio since his arrival in the summer but Maurizio Sarri is keen to give the Dane another chance.
The 22-year-old winger joined the Biancocelesti from FC Midtjylland in August in a deal worth around €12m, penning a five-year deal in the Italian capital.
Isaksen has only made one start for Lazio since his arrival, seeing 145 minutes of action in Serie A, and has shown little to impress his new fans in Rome. Behind the scenes, the 22-year-old has been hard at work.
As highlighted by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Isaksen has been working hard and improving in Lazio’s training session, impressing Maurizio Sarri and convincing him to give the winger more chances in the coming weeks.
The Dane could start in either of the coming games against Fiorentina or Bologna, giving him the opportunity to prove himself to the coach.
Last season, Isaksen scored 22 goals and provided nine assists across 45 total matches for Midtjylland.
