When Casale Could Return to Action for Lazio

Nicolo Casale is set to miss a handful of matches after suffering an adductor muscle injury in a Lazio training session.

The 25-year-old Italian centre back has been a core part of Maurizio Sarri’s squad since his arrival from Hellas Verona last year, but his form has started to drop in recent weeks after he was falsely accused of being involved in the latest Serie A betting scandal.

Things went from bad to worse for Casale after he suffered a low to medium grade muscle injury to the adductor of his right thigh, an injury that’ll keep him sidelined for a number of weeks during a crucial stage of the season.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport and Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Casale is expected to miss Lazio’s next four matches against Fiorentina, Bologna, Feyenoord and Roma, but could be back in time to face Salernitana on 25th November.

He will undergo a new round of tests next week to determine the state of his injury. A first-degree injury will keep him out of action for three weeks and a second-degree injury would carry a 40-day stop.
