Watch: Kamada Scores in Japan Win Over Myanmar

Lazio midfielder Daichi Kamada netted an impressive long-range effort in Japan’s World Cup qualifier win over Myanmar.

The 27-year-old midfielder joined the Biancocelesti in the summer and impressed in the early stages of the season, scoring one goal and providing one assist across four starts in the first four games. He has failed to appear consistently since mid-September, coming off the bench in the last six league matches.

Kamada has grown frustrated with the lack of playing time under Maurizio Sarri but the Lazio coach has been insistent that it’ll take time for him to adapt to playing alongside Luis Alberto. There are now rumours that the Japanese midfielder could look to leave the club in the coming months.

Kamada was called up by Japan for this international break and netted a slick long-range goal in the 5-0 win over Myanmar.

  1. He will play more, gove Sarri time to get him in the team. And also there is huge competition with Goundozi, Vecino, Rovella and Cataldi. Luis is our only 100% starter (for me Goundozi too but not for the Mister).

As of the goal, Daichi is a an artist. It is painful not to see him more in the Lazio jersey but I have a feeling he will start in the next Champions League match.

    Forza Kamada 🫡🤍💙🦅
