Salernitana vs Lazio: Recent History

The month between the two recent international breaks saw a lot of ups and downs for Lazio, who showed positives in wins over Sassuolo and Fiorentina. Their 3-1 loss to Feyenoord in the Champions League proved concerning, but the team bounced back in the return leg with a 1-0 victory.

A loss to Bologna and draw with Roma in the Derby della Capitale were the Biancocelesti’s last two league outings, so they’ll be keen to return to winning ways as they look to climb up the Serie A table.

Salernitana have not managed to find their footing this season and currently find themselves rock bottom of the league table after 12 games, picking up just five points from five draws. Filippo Inzaghi took over as head coach at the start of October but hasn’t managed to turn things around in Salerno.

Salernitana cannot count on Loum Tchaouna and Guillermo Ochoa, both of whom are sidelined with injuries. Boulaye Dia and Jovane Cabral are both also in doubt and could be left on the bench.

Lazio’s injury concerns are growing, with Alessio Romagnoli, Nicolo Casale, and Mattia Zaccagni sidelined. Nicolo Rovella is not 100% and Luis Alberto is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the derby draw with Roma.
