Lazio vs Inter: Recent History
The last six weeks have not been easy for Maurizio Sarri or Lazio, who’ve only won one of their last five league games, beating Cagliari 1-0. The other results were a 1-0 loss to Bologna, a 0-0 draw with Roma, a 2-1 loss to Salernitana and a 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona.

Standing in Lazio’s way are Inter, a team who’ve looked almost flawless this season. Simone Inzaghi’s side have won 12 of their 15 matches this term, drawing twice and losing just once. The former Biancocelesti coach carefully managed his squad in the Champions League, rotating when needed.
The result of Inzaghi’s work saw Inter finish second in their Champions League group as well, a fairly disappointing result considering their clear dominance compared to their opponents. Regardless, the Nerazzurri have maintained a strong speed on their charge to silverware this term.

Lazio cannot count on winger Gustav Isaksen, who is out with a quadriceps injury. Alessio Romagnoli is just returning from a calf issue and so is unlikely to start against Inter. Mattia Zaccagni and Ciro Immobile are both a booking away from picking up a one-game ban.
Inter are without the injured Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries, with the former dealing with an adductor problem and the latter out with a muscle issue. Juan Cuadrado and Benjamin Pavard are both returning from injuries and will likely remain on the bench.
