Roma dispatched Cremonese in the Coppa Italia Round of 16, setting up a quarter-final Derby della Capitale with Lazio.
The Biancocelesti, who have a strong recent history in the cup, had no trouble in their Round of 16 clash with Genoa last month, securing a 1-0 win after an early goal from Mateo Guendouzi.
Things were a little more tense for Roma, who fell 1-0 down to Cremonese after 37 minutes before late goals from Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala in the second half, allowing them to move forward in the Coppa Italia.
As such, Lazio and Roma will now battle it out in the Coppa Italia quarter-final on 10th January at 18:00 local time at the Stadio Olimpico.
The winner of this match could face Frosinone or Juventus in the semi-final. Top sides on the other side of the bracket include Inter, Fiorentina, Atalanta and Milan.
The first Derby della Capitale of the season ended goalless after a tense 90-minute affair at the Stadio Olimpico on 12th November.
