Lazio have reportedly opened talks with Borussia Monchengladbach as they explore a mid-season move for midfielder Florian Neuhaus.
The Biancocelesti are aware that Daichi Kamada could leave the club in the coming weeks after growing unhappy in the Italian capital. His contract expires in the summer and a renewal is looking unlikely at this stage, creating a possible problem for Maurizio Sarri.
Lazio are looking around for any low-cost options to bolster their squad this month, not planning to invest too heavily. Things have been quiet regarding transfer news, apart from Felipe Anderson’s links with Juventus.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio and Napoli both reached out to Monchengladbach to ask after Neuhaus, keen on the idea of signing the German midfielder on a loan deal with a buy option attached.
The 26-year-old, who is contracted to the club until June 2027, has only made one start in the club’s last eight Bundesliga matches, falling down the pecking order in the squad.
So, it’s not Dortmund but the other Borussia after all.
