Lazio Deepen Talks for Borussia Monchengladbach’s Neuhaus

Lazio are continuing negotiations with Borussia Monchengladbach for Florian Neuhaus as they look to bring in their first winter reinforcement.

The Biancocelesti and Napoli both recently expressed an interest in the 26-year-old German midfielder, contacting the Bundesliga club to start exploring a possible loan move with a buy option attached.

Neuhaus has started to fall down the pecking order at Borussia Monchengladbach in recent months, starting just once in the last eight consecutive league matches. He is contracted to the club until June 2027 and has an estimated market value of around €10m.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio held a new round of talks with Borussia Monchengladbach in recent days to deepen their negotiations for Neuhaus.

An agreement still hasn’t been reached yet but updates are expected in the coming days as the Biancocelesti look to bring in their first reinforcement of the January transfer window.

Lazio are looking to bolster their midfield as they prepare to lose Daichi Kamada in the summer, with the Japanese midfielder unlikely to pen a three-year contract renewal after a tough start to life under Maurizio Sarri.
