Rafa Silva Linked With Move to Lazio, Rumours Suggest

Lazio are reportedly interested in making a move with Rafa Silva, who has entered the last six months of his contract with Benfica.

The Biancocelesti have struggled to find a consistent source of goals this term, with club captain Ciro Immobile dealing with nagging injuries and new signing Valentin Castellanos failing to prove particularly prolific.

Lazio are in the thick of the fight for a top four finish, sitting just a point behind Fiorentina, but still haven’t picked up a single reinforcement in the January transfer window yet. With less than a fortnight left, time is starting to run out.

As reported by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Lazio are keeping a close eye on Rafa Silva and could try to make a move for the 30-year-old forward this month. His contract expires at the end of this season and Benfica are hoping to lock him down with a new deal.

This season, the Portuguese forward has scored 11 goals and provided 11 assists in 29 games across all competitions.
