Lazio are moving forward in their negotiations with Benfica for Rafa Silva and are now considering launching a decisive move before the end of this month’s transfer window.
The Biancocelesti are working to pick up a new winger in the winter market, keen to give Maurizio Sarri more options up front. Both Pedro and Felipe Anderson have contracts expiring in the summer and there’s a realistic chance that one or both could leave on free transfers.
After weeks of silence, Lazio are now being linked to a long list of possible wingers who they’re reportedly keeping an eye on, including Bryan Gil, Jonathan Ikone, Wilfried Gnonto, Gabriel Strefezza, Albert Gudmundsson, and Anwar El Ghazi.
As reported by journalist Rudy Galetti, Lazio held a new round of talks with Benfica recently, where the Portuguese side set a €8-10m price tag on Rafa Silva, whose contract expires at the end of this season.
The Biancocelesti are now seriously weighing up sending in a concrete offer for the 30-year-old forward, who is able to play on both sides of the pitch as well as in the centre.
