Lazio sent in an offer for Nicolo Cambiaghi, but Atalanta rejected the proposal, holding out for a higher fee.
The Biancocelesti haven’t made any signings yet in this January transfer window but are now seemingly determined to sign a new winger before the end of the month, being linked to a long list of players.
Lazio have identified a number of options who could bolster Maurizio Sarri’s frontline for the second half of the season, including Bryan Gil, Jonathan Ikone, Wilfried Gnonto, Gabriel Strefezza, Albert Gudmundsson, Anwar El Ghazi, Rafa Silva and Federico Bernardeschi.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio sent Atalanta an offer worth around €8m for Cambiaghi, who is currently out on loan at Empoli. The proposal was rejected, with the Bergamo side making it clear that a higher fee would be need to secure the 23-year-old’s signature.
Cambiaghi is contracted to Atalanta to June 2028 and has shown positive signs in Tuscany over the last 18 months, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 49 games.
