Lazio submitted an offer to Sunderland for winger Jack Clarke, which was rejected by the Championship side.

The Biancocelesti have left it late to try and secure a winger for Maurizio Sarri’s squad, having considered a long list of options over the last few weeks. With just days left in the January transfer window, the club still haven’t brought in a single reinforcement yet.

A long list of players have been identified by Lazio as possible options, including Bryan Gil, Jonathan Ikone, Wilfried Gnonto, Gabriel Strefezza, Albert Gudmundsson, Anwar El Ghazi, Rafa Silva and Federico Bernardeschi.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via TMW), Lazio sent in an offer for Jack Clarke to Sunderland, proposing a deal worth around €16 million, which was quickly rejected by the Championship club, who have set a €25 million price tag on a player previously targeted by Liverpool.

A number of other clubs are interested in the 23-year-old Englishman, including Wolves, Crystal Palace and Brentford. Viable alternatives to Clarke at this stage include Cambiaghi and Gil.
