Lazio reportedly contacted Norwich City to explore a move for Jonathan Rowe but winger turned down the idea.
The Biancocelesti have started to focus on the English market in the final days of the January transfer window, sending in offers for Sunderland’s Jack Clarke and Plymouth Argyle’s Morgan Whittaker, both of which were rejected by the Championship clubs.
Lazio need to move fast if they want to pick up a winger before the end of the transfer window, which closes in Serie A on February 1 at 20.00 local time, leaving less than 72 hours to go.
As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio contacted Norwich and the agents of Jonathan Rowe to discuss a late move in recent days, but the 20-year-old turned down the idea of moving to Serie A, wanting to break through and prove himself in the Premier League.
A number of English clubs are interested in the winger, including West Ham, Brighton, Aston Villa and Everton, forcing the Biancocelesti to focus on other targets.
