Sarri Left Unperturbed by Lazio Transfer Deadline Day Chaos

Lazio failed to sign Fenerbahce winger Ryan Kent just before the finish line, leaving Maurizio Sarri without any reinforcements for the second half of this season.

The Biancocelesti had agreed to sign the English winger on a six-month loan deal worth €500,000 with a €5.5 million buy option attached, adding another option to the frontline in Sarri’s squad, who have struggled for regular goals this term.

The deal ultimately collapsed because Kent decided not to leave Fenerbahce for Lazio, leaving them without any time to find a replacement before the transfer market closed on Thursday evening.

Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) details how Sarri wasn’t too upset about the failed deal for Kent, having already accepted the state of affairs at Lazio. He wasn’t expecting any arrivals, and the situation didn’t affect his preparations for the coming clash with Atalanta.

Instead, Sarri spent the entirety of this week focusing on video analysis and training groundwork, wanting his players to be ready to face Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

  1. Both fans and Sarri got used to the effortless performance of Lotito in the market. If you have too less money to buy, can you do better in your youth academy, Lotito?

    1. i remember when there was a time when watching the transfer windows with joy and excitement, now i just wait until its over before i bother check how Lazio did on the transfer Market..

  2. Lotito should just sell the club and get his cheap asss out… This nonsense must stop.. How do we expect to beat Bayern with this same dead woods that can’t beat Inter..

  3. Didn’t Angelo Mariano Fabiani just say that this squad is complete? What world does he live in? Lazio are the furthest thing from being the finished article. And until Lotittio understands that you can’t put together a side with duct-tape and glue, the squad isn’t going to compete with the heavy hitters.
No one is expecting a splurge, just some quality pieces here and there that actually sign for the club instead of all these false promises and hope.
