Lazio Push for Provedel Renewal, Plans for Romagnoli and Zaccagni

Lazio are drawing up a new contract for Ivan Provedel as they work to resolve various contract situations in the squad.

The Biancocelesti are about to lose key winger Felipe Anderson on a free transfer in the summer, with Juventus ready to snap up the Brazilian, and are trying to avoid losing any other important figures in Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

Lazio were quiet in the January transfer window, not bringing in any first-team reinforcements, so the club cannot afford to start losing core parts of the system in the coming summer transfer window, prompting them to look internally.

Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) details how Lazio sporting director Angelo Mariano Fabiani has been working hard to set up a new contract for Provedel, rewarding him with a raise and extension to June 2028.

Once this has been agreed, he’ll start focusing on a new deal for Alessio Romagnoli, who wasn’t too respondent to the initial contacts, and Mattia Zaccagni, who has been left frustrated by the long wait for a new deal.
