Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri still has to contend with a few injuries ahead of the league clash with Torino.
The Biancocelesti’s momentum came to a screeching halt on the weekend after Thiago Motta’s Bologna came to visit, escaping the Stadio Olimpico 2-1 winners. It was a disappointing result for the home side, fresh off the back of their win over Bayern Munich.
Lazio cannot lick their wounds for too long, however, as they’ll travel north to face Torino on 22nd February, before heading off to Florence to duel Fiorentina four days later. The return leg at Bayern is scheduled for 5th March, giving Sarri’s side some time to prepare.
Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) details how Mattia Zaccagni is still suffering from a foot injury but could return to the squad in the coming days, although there’s little chance he gets off the bench against Torino.
Matias Vecino could recover in time to face the Granata, but he is still dealing with long-term groin issues. There are doubts surrounding Nicolo Rovella, and Patric is unlikely to feature on Thursday due to ankle pain.
