Torino vs Lazio: Recent History

Juric has managed to generate a strong consistent level in the Piedmont capital in recent weeks, with Torino suffering just one loss in their last 11 games. The run has allowed the Granata to recover their spot in the table after their slow start to the season.

Torino’s last outing was a comfortable 2-0 win over Lecce, with goals from Raoul Bellanova and Duvan Zapata. Despite the recent positivity, Juric made it clear that he’d leave the club in the summer should they fail to qualify for European competition.

Lazio had started to rediscover their smiles after wins over Cagliari and Bayern Munich, but their momentum came to a grinding halt when they fell to Thiago Motta’s Bologna in a 2-1 loss on the weekend.

The Biancocelesti currently sit eight points behind fourth place Atalanta, so they cannot afford to drop any more points if they want to secure a top four spot.

When these two teams met back in September, Lazio cruised to a 2-0 win over Torino after goals from Matias Vecino and Mattia Zaccagni.

Team News & Expected Starting Lineups

Torino are without the injured Alessandro Buongiorno, Perr Schuurs and Ricardo Rodriguez, removing some key options from Juric’s squad.

Lazio cannot count on Patric and Nicolo Rovella, both sidelined with injuries, whilst Zaccagni is unlikely to feature due to a minor foot injury.

Torino (3-4-1-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Djidji, Lovato, Masina; Bellanova, Ricci, Ilic, Lazaro; Vlasic; Sanabria, Zapata.

Lazio (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari, Gila, Romagnoli, Marusic; Guendouzi, Cataldi, Luis Alberto; Isaksen, Immobile, Felipe Anderson.
