Fiorentina vs Lazio: Recent History

Fiorentina had been in strong form in Serie A this season and once flirted with fourth spot, but in recent weeks their energy has started to fade, with the team winning just one in their last seven league games, losing to Bologna, Lecce, Inter and Sassuolo.

Lazio have been inconsistent over the last few weeks as well, picking up wins over Torino, Cagliari and Bayern Munich but losing to Atalanta and Bologna, leaving them trailing the pack in the race for a top four finish. The Biancocelesti currently sit eight points behind fourth place Bologna.

When these two teams met back in October, Lazio edged out a 1-0 win over Fiorentina after a goal from Ciro Immobile in the 95th minute.

Team News & Expected Starting Lineups

Fiorentina cannot count on Gaetano Castrovilli, Christian Kouame and Oliver Christensen, all of whom are sidelined with injuries.

Lazio’s only absence is Nicolo Rovella and Patric is unlikely to feature due to an ankle issue, with Matias Vecino also likely to remain benched. Mario Gila is unavailable through suspension.

Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Terracciano; Faraoni, Martínez Quarta, Ranieri, Biraghi; Duncan; González, Beltrán, Ikoné; Belotti.
